Annual Meeting: Christ's Church: Shepherded, Equipped & Discipled

Our theme for this year as a church is Hebrews 13:20-21. First listen to it in the (NKJV):

Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Whom Did They Crucify?

On this Good Friday, our focus is upon the day that mankind murdered its Maker. As we turn to John 18, we begin to look at the most complete and reliable record of the Good Friday events. As we read the following verses, analyze with me just WHO it was that they crucified! First we see:

The One Crucified Had a 
Name Above All Names

As you turn to each passage and follow along as I read, look for the answer to these questions.

Question One: Who can make an entire army fall flat on their faces by just speaking His Name outloud? Only Someone with: a Name above all names.

The most amazing thing in life is that God uses any of us with all of our weaknesses and struggles.

With those two thoughts in mind, on this Mother's Day, consider that Mary was offered one of the biggest jobs in the world. As we open to Luke 1:28, ponder this question with me:
