Young at Heart is a very active ministry for those who are nearing retirement age or beyond. The time is now to continue to serve the Lord in ministry and deepen relationships with other believers. With a priority upon service projects and social activities, there are plenty of events offered throughout the year to keep you anything but bored!

Serving opportunities

There are many opportunities to serve the church body, such as helping with the monthly Channels newsletter mailings, assisting with administrative needs in the Church Office and caring for the church grounds. There are also many opportunities to reach out into our community by meeting the needs of others. These include visiting shut-ins, delivering Christmas baskets to families in need and getting involved in the Angel Tree ministry to the children and families of inmates.

Social events

Fun social events are also planned once a month. A committee within the group plans day trips to points of interest in the area and, of course, good places to eat! With such a wide range of fellowship opportunities, it’s easy to make new friends and catch up with others. The events are intended to be both enjoyable and spiritually-enriching.
