In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called out to another and said, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory.” And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke. Then I said, “Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.”

Poppy Seed Chicken will be served at the Family Dinner from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., prior to the evening activities on Wednesday. For a gluten or dairy free option complete the online form. Without advanced notification we cannot anticipate the need. To ensure we have enough food, we ask everyone to sign up in advance (no later than 9:00 a.m. Wednesday), by noting on a Calvary Connection card, calling the Church Office or by Clicking Here. This is always a great time of fellowship before the evening activities begin.
The Elders have approved the following people for active Membership: Linda Kamminga, Lindsey Mercer, Kyle and Leeann Messman, Ryan Moore, Matthew Plantenga, Corinne Smith, Noah and Meghan Wisner.
Kid’s Praise! will be presenting their Spring Musical “Back to the Cross” at 6:00 p.m. Tonight in the Sanctuary. Please plan to attend!
Today at 11:50 following the second service we have the Special Business Meeting for votes to approve the calls of Dan Johnson as Associate Pastor of Member Care and of Jim West as Associate Pastor of Adult Disciple Making. The Elders are also recommending that Justin and Katie McCoy serving with the Navigators be approved as Global Partners. All members should plan to be in attendance for this important decision in the life of our church body. Absentee ballots are available in the lobby at the Welcome Center and must be completed and submitted prior to the start of the meeting. Please remember that absentee ballots do not count towards a quorum.
Please be back in the Sanctuary by 11:50 a.m. Parents, please promptly pick up your children from their classes and Nursery so Children’s Ministry staff and volunteers can attend the meeting.
Turkey Talk is this Tuesday 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. in room 219B, just look for the turkey decoys. All ages are invited, from beginner to expert. Learn all about turkeys, turkey calling, and turkey hunting (strategies and habitats). It's free, and it's fun! There will be prizes, snacks and local turkey experts. No registration necessary. · Nursery available for infants - 24 months
· No LifeGroups
No evening service or Go Groups
For Easter Sunday only the second service will begin at 10:45 a.m.
Opportunities to Serve
Volunteers are needed to help with Spring cleanup of the outside grounds of the church. Spring Cleanup will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, right after the men’s breakfast
Children’s Ministry is still looking for volunteers to minister to the Children of Calvary Bible Church! Nursery is in need of 8 adult volunteers for Sunday morning nursery. Our Sunday School Classes still need 4 adult volunteers (1 Teacher and 2 Helpers). These classes and nurseries cannot open without the volunteers needed to staff them. Please consider serving, twice a month or even once a month. Anything is a blessing. For more information contact Hannah Haney, or call the Church Office.

Please be in prayer for our Tennessee Service Team, as we prepare to send 23 Middle School Students and 9 Leaders to Townsend, Tennessee from March 26-31. We will be doing service projects for Children’s Bible Ministries, an organization whose purpose is to teach, evangelize, disciple, encourage, and equip both non-believers and believers of all ages.
Vacation Bible School is right around the corner! Join us July 10 - 14 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Volunteer registration is now open. Student registration will open on June 1st. Click here to sign up.
Elder Focus
Jim Trombley and his wife, Kathy, have three children: Michael, Matthew, and Emily. He was saved at the age of eight and started attending Calvary Bible Church in 2001. He has served in Kids Praise!, Prayer Corps, and music ministry, as well as a 1711 LifeGroup leader, Deacon and Elder.
