When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. “Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

The Church Office will be closed Monday, May 28 for Memorial Day.
Our students will be conducting a coin offering next Sunday, June 4 in the morning services. This offering is divided between the youth ministry areas to be used for special purchases. Next Generation Ministries appreciates the coins that you generously donate.
Fellowship Sunday will be held on Sunday, June 4. There will be a combined worship Sunday at 10:00 a.m. followed by outdoor Baptisms. A lunch that will include pulled pork sandwiches, hotdogs, chips, and cookies will be served in the back parking lot following the Baptism service. After lunch there will be an assortment of games, inflatables, and treat stations for kids and adults. Don’t miss Fellowship Sunday!
Our Daily Bread is available in the oak rack in the nursery hallway and in the spinners in the lobby entryways.
The Calvary Choir is now accepting new members for the 2023-2024 season. If you are High School age or older and desire to serve the Lord through the choir ministry or would like additional information, please scan the nearby QR code. In addition, the choir is welcoming guest singers on during the AM services on June 4, July 9, and August 27. If you¹d like to get a feel for what the choir ministry is all about or if you just would like to take this opportunity help lead our congregation in worship, we¹d love to have you join us on any or all of these mornings! Opportunities to Serve
The Coffee Ministry is in need of volunteers to help serve coffee between the first and second morning worship services. If you are interested in being part of the Coffee Ministry team, contact Dan Johnson at the church office or email him here.
The summer Children’s Ministry, 2 yr. old - 5th grade, runs a little differently than it does throughout the school year. There are 13 weeks that need to be filled with game leaders and helpers. The teacher positions have all been filled. Would you please consider being a helper or game leader in Children’s Ministry just for June, July and/or August. You can volunteer to help every other week, once a month, just one time or whatever works best with your schedule. If volunteers would sign up to serve once a month for 3 months (3 times total), we would only need the following number of volunteers.
The 9:00 service would need 11 helpers and 5 game leaders
The 10:30 service would need 43 helpers and 4 game leaders

Elder Focus
Dan Johnson and his wife, Beth, have four adult children and four grandchildren. Dan was saved at age 9 and began attending Calvary Bible Church in 1983. He is on staff as our Shepherding and Member Care Pastor, and has served as an usher, Sunday School Superintendent, teacher, Deacon, Elder, and in the jail ministry.
