And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of people, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;  but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

Ephesians 4:11-16 (NASB1995)

October is Pastor Appreciation Month: Scripture reminds us that “the elders who rule well are worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching” and that “the laborer deserves his wages.” (1 Timothy 5:17-18). In that spirit, we invite you to express your gratitude for our Pastors' faithful service to the Lord here at Calvary by contributing a love offering during Pastor Appreciation Month. To give either mark a separate envelope with “Pastor Appreciation” and place it in the offering, or if giving online select “Pastor Appreciation” from the dropdown menu. These donations are tax deductible and will be accepted through October 31.

Starting on October 28, there will be two new Core Training classes offered on Wednesdays at 6:30pm. During this 7-week Fall B session (October 28 - December 16) please consider joining for one of the following Growth Groups:

  • Discipleship and Counseling (PM3)

  • Teaching the Bible (PM6*)

  • Men's Bible Study (Ezekiel)

  • Women's Bible Study (Fundamentals of the Faith)

Save the date! On Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. there will be a GriefShare session “Surviving the Holidays”.
