Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  Just as it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”  But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:35-39 (NASB)

NEWS

Sunday Evening Service move: For the rest of the summer, the Sunday Evening Service will be held in the Chapel. Please enter at the Kitchen (entrance C) or Chapel (entrance D) doors.

Fellowship Center Update: The flooring project is nearly complete. We anticipate the Fellowship Center will be open for use beginning next Sunday, June 22.

Our next 5th Sunday Service will be June 29. The morning begins at 9:00 a.m. with a time of fellowship, where you can enjoy refreshments and connect with others in our church family. At 10:30 a.m. we’ll gather for a combined worship service. Childcare will be provided for infants through 2-year-olds. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together in unity, celebrate our ministries, and be refreshed in spirit. We encourage everyone to attend!

Calvary ladies! One of the best ways to connect and grow with other women in our church is through “Sister Time” groups. These groups create a place to foster deeper relationships and support each other as we grow in Christ. “Sister Time” is in home groups that meet October-May. If you would like to be a hostess, sign up is easy. Come to the table in the Fellowship Center Sunday mornings June 22-July 6 or contact the Church Office.

The Elders have approved the following person for membership: Samuel  Bakhuyzen.

Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be held in the Sanctuary on Sunday, June 29, at 6:00 p.m. At this meeting we will vote to approve the 2025-2026 budget and affirm Elder, Deacon, and Treasurer nominees. If you are a member of Calvary Bible Church, please plan to attend.

The Annual Report will be emailed to active members this week.

Lobby Renovations – we are excited to announce renovations to the Lobby are underway. We hope these will enhance the visitor experience and provide a warmer and more welcoming atmosphere for all guests and members of Calvary. Changes will be taking place in phases, so please be patient with us over the next couple of months as different areas of the lobby will be impacted, including changes to seating options.

Be in prayer for the following people who were recently baptized on June 1. Andrew Bowman, Carter Huizenga, Laretha Pride, and Hannah Solomon.

Koinonia, a Calvary ministry for those 60 and up, will be going to see the poppy field and lavender farm in Fennville followed by lunch and shopping in Saugatuck. Meet at the church at 9:00 a.m.. click here to register or call the church office.

Do you play an instrument?
The Calvary Orchestra is recruiting! We use our gifts to glorify God and support congregational worship. Starting this fall, members serve 2–3 Sundays a month, rehearse Wednesday evenings, and play in the Christmas and Spring Concerts. Interested in trying it out this summer? Click here to contact Ryan Whitaker.

Opportunities to Serve

Children’s Ministry Sunday School-As it stands right now, Children’s Ministry Sunday School (2yr.-5th Grade) does not have enough volunteers to minister to the children of Calvary this summer. We only need 95 people to sign up to serve once a month for June, July and August, and then we will be completely staffed for the entire summer!

We aren’t asking you to teach, just come, care for, and love the children that the Lord has brought to Calvary Bible Church! Please prayerfully consider serving in this way . If we don’t get he help that we need, Children’s Ministry Sunday School cannot happen.

Please email Hannah Haney for more information.

Global Ministries is in need of a replacement van. The current van is 20 years old and in need of major repairs in the near future. This vehicle is primarily used by Global Partners when they are visiting and has been a huge blessing to them. We are in search of another minivan, approximately 5 years old or newer, and approximately 50,000 miles or less. For more information please contact Dan Beason, Click here to email.
