But now listen, O Jacob, My servant, And Israel, whom I have chosen: Thus says the Lord who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you, ‘Do not fear, O Jacob My servant; And you Jeshurun whom I have chosen. ‘For I will pour out water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring And My blessing on your descendants; And they will spring up among the grass Like poplars by streams of water.’ “This one will say, ‘I am the Lord’s’; And that one will call on the name of Jacob; And another will write on his hand, ‘Belonging to the Lord,’
And will name Israel’s name with honor.

Pulled Pork will be served at the Family Dinner from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., prior to the evening activities on Wednesday. A gluten free or dairy free option is available upon advanced request. We ask everyone to sign up in advance (no later than 9:00 a.m. Wednesday) by noting on a Calvary Connection card, calling the Church Office or by clicking here. This is always a great time of fellowship before the evening activities begin.
The Pastoral Team would like to thank our church family for the kindness you expressed to us through the “appreciation evening” greeting time, as well as your generous offering. We are humbled to serve a body that loves and encourages their shepherds. We are thankful for the privilege to serve alongside you as we seek to honor Him by making disciples. We pray that you all have a wonderful Christmas season and acknowledge the abundance of blessings from our Lord and Savior in the New Year.
This year’s end-of-the-year giving project is “Global Ministries: From Jerusalem to the Ends of the Earth”. This project will enable us to invest in three key areas of Global Ministry:
1) Facilitating needed upgrades in the CBC Mission House, which is the home that Calvary provides for Global Partners while they are in Kalamazoo;
2) Equipping our 2024 combined High School and Adult short-term construction team to Frontier School of the Bible with the building materials required, including replacement windows for one of the student dormitories; and
3) Providing additional resources to our Global Ministries Fund to assist our Global Partners with strategic needs.
To contribute to this fund, please note “Year End Giving Project” on your offering envelope, or if giving online select “other projects” and type in Year End Giving Project.
Calvary's Christmas Concert, "Emmanuel", is next weekend December 8 - 9 at 7:00 p.m. and December 10 at 6:00 p.m. With so many invitations being picked up we want to honor your guests and make them feel welcomed by reserving the two center front sections in the sanctuary for them. We encourage our Calvary family to consider attending either the Friday or Saturday concerts to show preference to the guests who would like to attend on Sunday. Typically, our most attended concert is Sunday night, and we don't want to see any guests turned away because they're unable to find a seat. Our goal is not to discourage anyone in our church family from attending multiple nights, however we do want to ensure everyone who wants to attend is able to do so. Invitations are available in the Lobby or by clicking Here.
Men’s Breakfast will take place on Saturday, November 18 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Share a delicious breakfast, a challenge to lead spiritually and brotherly fellowship. Bring your dad, son, brother or friend! We encourage you to read “Spirit-Controlled Character/Being Patient and Gentle” pages 18 - 28 in our book ahead of time each month so that you will be in tune with the speakers challenge and prepared to discuss the content with the guys at your table. Call the Church Office or Click Here to sign up, or to pick up a book.
Our students will be conducting a coin offering Today in the morning services. This offering is divided between the youth ministry areas to be used for special purchases. Next Generation Ministries appreciates the coins that you generously donate.
Today in the Word is available on the Oak Rack in the Fellowship Center and in the Lobby Entryways.
Opportunities to Serve
Nursery servants are needed during the Christmas concert on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Would you consider grabbing a friend and serving together during one of these evenings? Please contact Lora West if you are available.
Cold weather is here! The Care Closet needs donations of clean winter coats, gloves, hats, boots and winter sweaters. Donations can be left on the table in the chapel hall. Thank you!
