For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

Romans 8:18-25(NASB1995)

NEWS

Sloppy Joes will be served at the Family Dinner from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., prior to the evening activities on Wednesday. A gluten free/dairy free option is available upon advanced request. We ask everyone to sign up by 12:00 p.m. the Monday before. Please click here or call the church office to sign up. This is always a great time of fellowship before the evening activities begin. Our students will be collecting a coin offering today in the morning services. This offering is used by the Next Generation ministries for special purchases. We appreciate the financial gifts that you generously donate.

Calvary’s Christmas Concerts – “A Better Story” Join us this weekend: Fri & Sat at 7:00pm, Sun at 6:00pm. Calvary attenders are encouraged to come Friday or Saturday, as Sunday is usually fuller. To show preference to our guests the front middle sections will be reserved for them. Arrive early to enjoy the Calvary Handbells ringing carols in the lobby 40 minutes before each concert.

SAVE THE DATES: The Women’s Disciple Making Ministry invites you to join us for some exciting upcoming events. More information to come!

  • Spring Bible Studies will run February 3-April 28, 2026. Registration opens December 21.

  • Outreach Event: “Radiant in His Glory” on February 7, 2026

  • Women’s Retreat: “The God Who Sees”, on April 24-25, 2026

To take advantage of year-end, charitable deductions for donations made online or in the mail, contributions must be made electronically or postmarked by December 31, 2025. Checks hand-delivered to the church in January, even if they are dated in December, will be a 2026 charitable contribution. These regulations are established by the IRS.

The Elders have established the 2025 Year-End Giving Project to fund the purchase of a replacement van to be shared by our Global Partners when at the Mission House and for other church use; and to fund Healthy Homes window projects in 2026. Both the church cargo van and minivan used by visiting Global Partners have recently required repairs that far exceed their value and are being sold. The plan is to purchase one van that can serve both needs. Healthy Homes serves Kalamazoo families by installing free replacement windows for families in need and sharing Christ’s love through practical help and spiritual encouragement.

  1.  The goal to purchase a van is $30,000;

  2.  $12,500 is needed to fund two annual Healthy Homes projects in 2026.

Opportunities to Serve

Women’s Disciple Making Ministry is excited to start the spring Bible studies on February 3, 2026. The Tuesday morning children’s program is still a need of adults who is willing and able to help with infants through age 5. The need to provide a room for children of homeschool age is growing each year. We want to be able to provide this for the many moms who may benefit from having a safe place for their children so they can attend their Bible study. If you can help in this area, please click here to contact Jenna Yetman.
