NEWS
Sweet and Sour Chicken will be served at the Family Dinner from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., prior to the evening activities on Wednesday. A gluten free option is always available. To ensure we have enough food, we ask everyone to sign up in advance (no later than 9:00 a.m. Wednesday), by noting on a Calvary Connection card, calling the Church Office or by Clicking Here using the QR code. This is always a great time of fellowship before the evening activities begin.
The Elders have approved the following person for active Membership: Grace Visser.
To take advantage of year end charitable deductions for donations made online or in the mail, contributions must be made electronically or postmarked by December 31. Checks hand-delivered to the church in January, even if they are dated in December, will be a 2023 charitable contribution. These regulations are established by the IRS.
The Offering Envelopes distributed last year did not have dates on them; any that remain can be used in 2023. If you need new envelopes or have not received them in the past, they are now available in the Fellowship Center or by contacting the church office. These envelopes do not have a number. The office will provide stickers to be applied to each envelope with your name and number.
Tonight we will celebrate communion and are using our new homemade gluten-free bread. In February we will begin using this bread for all communion services. Please direct any comments to Anna Matecun in the church office.
All juniors and seniors in high school, as well as college-aged young adults are invited to join a course Pastor Bret will be offering Spring Semester on Wednesday nights. It is entitled, “Before You Launch: A Spiritual Checklist For Graduates.” For those who homeschool, it will be equivalent to a 0.5 credit elective class. Click here to sign up.
If you have experienced the death of a loved one please join us for GriefShare. It is a Bible based program that helps guide you on your grief journey. The next session begins Monday February 6 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in 122A (Reception Room). It is a 13 week program with a cost is $20 (scholarships available). Best Wishes to the Willetts
It is with great joy and sadness that we say goodbye to Pastor Jeremy and his family as he leaves to become Senior Pastor at Southgate Baptist Church in Springfield, OH. We thank the Lord for Jeremy’s 16 years of faithful service to the body of Christ and his legacy of multi-generational ministry. Our youth, parents, and families have been impacted and blessed by his preaching, teaching, leadership, pastoral care, and example of a life fully devoted to the Lord and His Word. We trust and pray that the Lord will continue to use Jeremy and his family mightily in this next phase of ministry!
