Acts Pt.5 - The Holy Spirit Arrives

Austin Dosh - Acts 2:1-13

This week we started we the Spirit’s Arrival, timing, location and the confirmations that showed the Holy Spirit’s arrival. We get a look at the Onlooker’s response of what was happening. No matter what there is no neutral response to the Gospel, there is either disbelief or true faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Ultimately it is God in action that will produce faith. Acts Pt.4 - Restoring the Full Number of Twelve Apostles

Austin Dosh - Acts 1:12-26

This week we talked about the early disciples, who they were, where they were located and what they were doing. That activity is still seen in the present day of Praising God, Praying, Hearing the Word, Applying Scripture and Conducting business. Part of that business being the replacement of Judas, we also discussed the process and why Judas needed to be replaced. (The audio is rough this week unfortunately there were tech issues so can not be fixed.)

Acts Pt.3 - Waiting and Watching

Austin Dosh - Acts 1:4-11 & Luke 24:50-53

This week we start with discussing how the disciples were waiting for a person, the Holy Spirit, and the Kingdom. In the current day we are no longer having to wait for the Holy Spirit, we get to celebrate that the fact we don’t need to wait to receive the Holy Spirit. There are things that God has revealed and some things that He hasn’t and we need to trust the Lord, in this instance it’s the timeline for the Kingdom.

Acts Pt.1 - Series Intro & Christ's Final Preparations for the Church's Launch

Austin Dosh - Acts 1:1-3 & Luke 24:1-49

Austin Dosh starts the study of Acts with some context in Luke. Austin walks through the Gospel of Luke where the apostles met Jesus on the Emmaus Road and how Jesus reminded them of God’s sovereignty in all of Jesus’s actions. It’s made clear that the life and mission of Christ has been planned and communicated from the beginning.

Jonah Pt.5 - The Angry Prophet and Our Faithful God

Austin Dosh - Jonah 4:1-4

This week we discuss the bitterness that Jonah feels, the “evil with great evil” Jonah thought occurred in his anger. The broken reasoning that anger brings and how Jonah was angry at God for attributes he was thankful for a chapter before, and with anger we see Jonah’s selfish request. We also cover how God responds to Jonah’s anger.
