Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
— Matthew 28:19-20

Why does Global Ministries exist?

Calvary Bible Church is committed to obeying the Great Commission through our global outreach efforts. We are dedicated to raising up new generations of workers to disciple the nations, faithfully praying for our global partners and their ministries, caring for them personally with encouragement and love, and supporting them financially with a significant portion of our giving.

Priority #1: The internal mobilization

of the disciples of Calvary Bible Church to our Lord’s commission to disciple the nations.  Therefore, we place a priority on disciple-making, equipping, and sending men and women from Calvary to the nations.

Priority #2: The strategic sending

of these workers to plant reproducing churches among unengaged and unreached people groups.

Priority #3: The long-term maintaining

of close relationships with those we send, which includes a commitment to sacrificial financial support.

While the strategic priority of Global Ministries is initial discipling and church planting among unreached peoples (the remotest part of the earth), Christ’s command in Acts 1:8 includes the local church’s intensive discipling of its immediate location (Jerusalem, Judea and Sameria).  Therefore, Calvary’s Global Ministries will selectively partner with local parachurch organizations which will assist Calvary in the intensive discipling of West Michigan and the United States.

Biblical basis for Global Ministry

Because we cherish God’s glory (Psalm 46:10), esteem His commands (Matthew 28:16-20; Luke 24:46,47; John 20:21; Acts 1:8), and recognize that all people are lost apart from Christ (John 10:9; 14:6; Romans 5:1,2; Ephesians 2:8, 9) we rejoice to live all of life, corporately and individually, to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples of all nations, tribes, and tongues.
