News
The Pastors and Elders request that you continue to pray for wisdom and discernment as the search for the Director of Outreach progresses.
After salvation, baptism is an important next step for the believer in Christ. By obeying Christ’s command, you are publicly declaring your identity with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Our next baptism service will be Sunday morning, June 13. Please contact Ana Ruggles in the church office if you are interested. There are two required meetings prior to Baptism Sunday so please sign up by Tuesday, May 18.
SAVE THE DATES: Pastor John Munro will be with us the weekend of May 23 to open God’s Word. Pastor Munro served as Senior Pastor at Calvary Bible Church from 1996 to 2006, when he was called to Calvary Church in Charlotte North Carolina; he continues to serve as their Senior Pastor. Key activities during the weekend of May 23 will include:
May 22 – Men’s Breakfast with Speaker Pastor John Munro (reserved seating required)
May 23 – Pastor John Munro preaching
May 23 – 2:30 p.m. Women’s Tea with Gudny Munro (reserved seating required)
Sign up information will be announced in the Bulletin and Weekly Service Reminders.
Christianity Explored, an informal 7-week class for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, is taking place on Tuesday Evenings in the Chapel from 6 – 7:30 p.m., through May 18. It’s not too late to join us! Participants will receive dinner, a Bible and discussion booklet for FREE. Focusing on Mark's gospel, it explores who Jesus is, why He came, and what it means to follow Him. There is a DVD lesson and then small group discussion on a portion of the Gospel of Mark, come participate or just listen. It is a very effective, non-threatening way to inform people about the claims of Christ. Bring someone who wants to know more about Christianity and join us for the meal and discussion. Click here to sign up or call the church office.
Congratulations!

Thank You!
Thank you Calvary family for the overwhelming support through meals, calls, prayers and cards during this difficult time following Rich’s illness and death. God has been good and faithful to send just what we have needed for each day.
Love,
Jacque Jackson and Jennifer Crabiel
Service Opportunity
We are in need of greeters at the lobby doors for both Sunday morning services. This is a great opportunity to welcome saints and visitors as they arrive. If you are looking for ways to get more involved in serving the body at Calvary please prayerfully consider serving in this ministry once a month. Please contact Brandon Morse if you are interested.
Interested in serving in Children’s Ministry but not sure where to start? Our summer ministry is a great time to give it a trial run. With a more relaxed atmosphere and less expectations for weekly commitments, this is a great time to get started. Contact Hannah Haney to find out how to get involved.
Faith at Home Ministries
For the month of April, the Faith at Home GrowthGroup on Wednesday evenings will be discussing Biblical Methods for Parenting the Heart of a Child. We hope to see you there!
