Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

The Church Office will be closed on Monday, July 4 for Independence Day.

Our students will be conducting a coin offering today in the morning services. This offering is divided between the youth ministry areas to be used for special purchases. Next Generation Ministries appreciates the coins that you generously donate.
ESL Plus (English as a Second Language) will begin in September. Staffing for the program is needed. Please prayerfully consider this ministry to teach English, and be an ambassador to our International people in Kalamazoo. Training and materials are provided; you do not need to be bi-lingual. Six teachers, eight helpers and staffing for a nursery program are needed. This is an excellent opportunity to reach the nations right here at home. Please contact Clay VanDussen for questions or to volunteer.
Today in the Word is available on the oak rack near the nursery hallway.
Tracts are available for your use each week in the tract racks. Please take and use them as the Lord leads you. If you have a tract for us to consider using, please bring a copy to the Church Office for approval.
Opportunities to Serve
Children’s Ministry has immediate needs! There are 15 helper slots and 2 game leader slots open in June. Church Membership is not required to serve; these are helper roles; you won’t be teaching. Please call the Church Office or email Hannah Haney.
The Calvary Choir is now accepting new members for the 2022-2023 season. If you are High School age or older and desire to serve the Lord through the choir ministry or would like additional information, please contact Mark Duncan or call the Church Office.
The Choir is welcoming guest singers during the morning services on July 10 and August 21. If you¹d like to get a feel for what the Choir ministry is all about or if you just would like to take this opportunity to sing, we¹d love to have you join us on one or all of these mornings! To participate, please email Mark Duncan or contact the Church Office.
Annual Meeting Results
I want to thank the members of Calvary Bible Church for their participation in the annual business meeting. The support for the work done by staff, committees, Deacons and Elders is overwhelming. I do also want to make a clarification on the totals for the votes. I had made an announcement at the time that everything passed by a margin of 88%. After a review of the number of votes, the tally shows each Elder/Deacon, the Global Partners, and the Budget all passed with at least a 96% margin. Thank you all again for your encouragement, and support of the work of this local church body. May the Lord continue to bless this body and all the ministries represented here.

Ministry Focus
The Library is a great place to find good reading materials for the whole family. We also have movies and audio books to check out. Calvary purchases these Christian materials, and also accepts donations which are approved before being placed on our shelves. We love to serve people in this ministry! We are open Sunday mornings and other times by request. Please stop by and get some summer books!
Elder Focus
Dan Haney was saved on October 12, 1983 and began attending Calvary Bible Church in January 2007. Dan and his wife, Ruth, have three adult children: Victoria, Tara, and Hannah. He has served in Children’s Sunday School, Gopher Buddies, Healthy Homes, HomeGroup leader, and Deacon.
