Is it not yet just a little while before Lebanon will be turned into a fertile field, and the fertile field will be considered as a forest? On that day the deaf will hear words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see. The afflicted also will increase their gladness in the Lord, and the needy of mankind will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. For the ruthless will come to an end and the scorner will be finished, indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be cut off; who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and ensnare him who adjudicates at the gate, and defraud the one in the right with meaningless arguments.

Isaiah 29:17-21

NEWS

Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be held in the Sanctuary tonight at 6:00 p.m. We will vote to affirm the Elder, Deacon, and Treasurer nominees and approve the 2023-2024 budget. Copies of the listing of nominees are available in the lobby. If you are a member of Calvary Bible Church, please plan to attend. Childcare will be available for nursery through Pre-K.

Copies of the Annual Report are available on the table in the lobby. Please take only one per family.

Absentee ballots are available at the Welcome Center. Please note that absentee ballots do not count towards our needed quorum for the meeting.

Kids Praise!, Calvary’s children’s choir, has an immediate need for a choral director. The person serving in this volunteer role will provide music instruction and will work with a dedicated staff of volunteers to help teach and prepare Kids Praise! members during their choir season, which runs from mid-September through March. Please contact Mark Duncan with any questions or for more information.

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS: Please note that beginning Friday, July 7 the church office will be closed on Friday afternoons for the months of July and August. Friday office hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday office hours will remain the same.

Our students will be conducting a coin offering next Sunday, July 2 in the morning services. This offering is divided between the youth ministry areas to be used for special purchases. Next Generation Ministries appreciates the coins that you generously donate.

Opportunities to Serve

The Summer Children’s Ministry has almost all the volunteers needed. It is exciting to see how the Lord is providing. We still have a couple of needs for July and August if God is leading you to serve. Thank you all who have volunteered to serve the Lord in the summer ministry.
Please contact Lora West if God is leading you to help serve this summer.
