NEWS

Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be held in the Sanctuary next Sunday, June 28, at 6:00 p.m. We will vote to affirm the Elder and Deacon nominees, approve the 2026-2027 budget, and affirm Ryan Whitaker as Associate Pastor of Corporate Worship. Copies of the listing of nominees are available in the lobby. If you are a member of Calvary Bible Church, please plan to attend. Nursery provided through age two.

The Annual Report has been emailed to active members. If you are an active member and did not receive the report, please email Anna at anna.matecun@calvarybible.org. A limited number of printed copies are available in the lobby.

Absentee ballots are available at the Deacon Counter in the Lobby. Please note that absentee ballots do not count towards the quorum needed for the meeting.

The Elders have approved the following people for Membership:
Luke Bos, Donny Looy, Madie Martin, and Angel Xu

The Elders have completed the ordination council for Ryan Whitaker and have approved him for ordination. We will be presenting Ryan to the membership for a vote at the Annual Congregational Meeting seeking affirmation for his transition from Director of Corporate Worship to Associate Pastor of Corporate Worship. There will be an opportunity to ask Ryan questions at the evening service tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Koinonia, a ministry for people ages 60 and over, is planning a day trip to Frankenmuth on Thursday, June 25. Your only expenses will be individual meals: lunch at a local restaurant and dinner on the return trip. Snacks and beverages will be provided on the bus. To sign up for this event click here or call the Church Office. We will meet in the lobby of the church at 7:45 a.m. and leave promptly at 8:00 a.m. We will arrive back to the church at approximately 7:00 p.m. Seating is limited to 30 people.

The Calvary Orchestra is looking for musicians who would like to use their gifts to serve the Lord and support congregational worship. Whether you’ve played for years or are wondering if this might be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you. Beginning this fall, members typically serve 2–3 Sundays a month, rehearse Wednesday evenings, and play in the Christmas and Spring Concerts. Interested in trying it out this summer? Click here to email Ryan.

The Lost and Found has moved to the Nursery Hallway. Please stop by and look for any missing items. All unclaimed items will be donated this week.

Opportunities to Serve

Summer Sunday School still needs volunteers! Unfortunately, we had to close classrooms last week because we did not have enough volunteers. If you are able to help fill this need or have questions, click here to email Jenna.
