Go Groups to follow
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

SABBATICAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Pastor Jeff has a long history of faithful service to the Lord and our congregation. After serving as a Global Partner for many years overseas, he has served on staff since 2007, most recently as our Senior Associate Pastor. We are honored and blessed to be able to allow him a three-month sabbatical beginning in February, in accordance with our sabbatical policy for Pastors. Pastor Jeff will use this time to rest and refresh – spiritually and physically; prepare for future equipping of the body in the Great Commission and Global Ministries; and make in-person visits with Global Partners and organizations. When Jeff returns from sabbatical in May, he will take on a part-time role as Associate Pastor of Global Ministries, allowing him to focus on our Global Partners and our ministries to the ends of the earth. During this time, please keep Pastor Jeff and Linda in your prayers, asking the Lord to continue to work in and through them.
Women's Bible Studies for the Spring Semester begin on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. There will be two studies offered on Tuesday mornings that will have child care available, and one study offered on Thursday mornings that will not have child care available. Sign up in the Fellowship Center, January 21 and 28. For specific class offerings and online sign ups Click Here. Registration closes January 29.
Calvary sent 884 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this past season! They are currently being shipped to Equador, Columbia, Uruguay and a Hard to Reach/Sensitive area. Hard to reach areas have no flashy party, no countdown, no balloons, no pictures and the believers in this country will not meet in groups of more than five. Thank you to all those who donated and crafted hundreds of items, helped to organize the items for packing parties, folded hundreds of shoe boxes, and packed shoeboxes. We are blessed to have a congregation that is so giving of their time, talents, and resources. Continue to pray for the children who will hear the Good News of the Gospel and experience the great joy of receiving a shoebox gift in the coming year.
Offering Envelopes are available at a table as you enter the Fellowship Center. If you do not have a giving number, please complete the form on the table to be assigned a number. Envelopes no longer have dates or numbers, so for those who have a giving number, stickers with your name and giving number can be found in the folder at the table. There you will also find detailed instructions on how to give online if you would prefer that option. Please contact the church office with any questions.
Opportunities to Serve
God is blessing Calvary with many young married couples who desire to be active in LifeGroups, Church Service and serving the Lord on Sunday mornings. Due to this blessing, God is also blessing our nursery department with an abundance of babies and toddlers that need our love. Would you consider serving in our nursery on Sunday mornings once a month during either the first or second service? For more information contact Lora West.
Tuesday Women’s Bible Studies resume February 6 and we are so excited! There is a great need for helpers in the Children’s Ministry those mornings. If you are able to help in any capacity - weekly or as a fill-in - or if you have questions about what our Tuesday mornings look like with the children, please contact Jenna Yetman. Please prayerfully consider coming alongside us to help minister to the littlest ones of our church and teach them how much Jesus loves them!
