Prayer, Training & Go Groups

When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, then the Lord will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain.

Isaiah 4:4-6

NEWS

Sloppy Joes  will be served at the Family Dinner from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., prior to the evening activities on Wednesday. A gluten free option is always available. To ensure we have enough food, we ask everyone to sign up in advance (no later than 9:00 a.m. Wednesday), by noting on a Calvary Connection card, calling the Church Office or by Clicking Here. This is always a great time of fellowship before the evening activities begin.

The Elders have approved the following individuals for active Membership:  Jeff & Jenny Martin, and Prasanth & Melissa Pillai.

We understand the command to make disciples. Jim West preached on 1/1/23 about our call to the ministry of reconciliation. If you have a felt measure of conviction about sharing your faith more, the Go Groups are a great place to strengthen one another and encourage one another to that end. Join us for our Sunday evening services at 6:00 p.m. followed by our Go Groups from 6:45 p.m. - 7:15p.m.. We would love to plug you into one of these groups to encourage you in that desire.

The next Men’s Breakfast will take place on Saturday, January 21 from 8:30 a.m. -10:00 a.m. Share a delicious breakfast, a challenge to lead spiritually and brotherly fellowship. Bring your dad, son, brother or friend! Click Here to sign up.

Sign up today for the Winter/Spring Women’s Bible Studies by visiting the Women’s Ministry page, or visiting the Women's table in the Fellowship Center if you have any questions or to sign up in-person. The studies begin Tuesday, February 7 and Thursday, February 9; registrations close on Monday, January 23.

The next Membership class will be on Saturday, February 11 in Room 122 A & B (Reception Rooms). The class will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with lunch provided. Plan to bring your own Bible. Click here to sign up or contact Angela Haner in the Church Office, sign ups end February 6.

Opportunities to Serve

Children’s Ministry is still looking for volunteers to minister to the Children of Calvary Bible Church! Nursery is in need of 13 adult volunteers (8 on Sunday mornings, 1 on Sunday nights and 4 on Wednesday nights). Our Sunday School Classes still need 4 adult volunteers (1 Teacher and 4 Helpers). These classes and nurseries cannot open without the volunteers needed to staff them. Please consider serving, twice a month or even once a month. Anything is a blessing. For more information contact Hannah Haney, or call the Church Office.

GriefShare is looking for a person or couple to take over as lead facilitator for this program. A new group will be starting February 6 and attending that would be great preparation for this position. Requirements are that you be a member of Calvary Bible Church, have experienced the death of a loved one, and have a heart to minister to those grieving a loss. For more information contact Donna Steinke for more information.

Please be in prayer for our Tennessee Service Team, as we prepare to send 23 Middle School Students and 9 Leaders to Townsend, Tennessee at the end of March. We will be doing service projects for Children’s Bible Ministries, an organization whose purpose is to teach, evangelize, disciple, encourage, and equip both non-believers and believers of all ages.

Mark your calendar for this year’s Vacation Bible School July 10-14! You are not going to want to miss it!
