After salvation, Baptism is an important next step for the believer in Christ. By obeying Christ’s command, you are publicly declaring your identity with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Our next Baptism service will be Sunday evening, September 29. To sign up Click Here, email Angela Haner, or call the Church Office. There are two required meetings prior to Baptism Sunday so please sign up by Tuesday, September 3.
Family Dinners and Wednesday Night Programs return on September 11. Please note the suggested donations for dinner are $3.00 per child, $4.00 per adult and $12.00 per family maximum.
Are you a WMU, KVCC, or K-College student? Welcome to Kalamazoo and to Calvary! We would love to see you at Crossroads. Crossroads is Calvary’s college and young adult group (18-25 yrs.). We meet at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel on Sunday mornings and 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening in homes for Bible study. We also have a mid-week Go Group that meets at WMU. The Calvary Choir is now accepting new members for the 2024-2025 season. If you are High School age or older and desire to serve the Lord through the Choir ministry or would like additional information, Click Here.
Our students will be conducting a coin offering today in the morning services. This offering is divided between the Next Generation ministries for special purchases. We appreciate the coins that you generously donate.
Registration for Kids Praise! is now open! Kids Praise! is a group of children in grades 1-5 who are enthusiastic about using music, movement, scripture and drama to learn about and tell of our Lord's worth! Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are available in the library if you would like to get an early start on collecting items for your shoebox. We will be collecting shoeboxes until November 18.

Note from the elders
The Elders are planning a different format for 5th Sundays during the year beginning on September 29. We will have one combined worship service beginning at 10:00 a.m., with refreshments in the Fellowship Center beginning at 9. Life Groups, Student Ministries and Children’s Ministries will not meet on these Sundays. Childcare will be offered from birth to 24 months and a 2’s class beginning at 9:50 a.m. We will also have a special Sunday evening service at 6:00 p.m. that night.
Santiago Martinez, one of our Elders and our Hispanic Ministry Director, will be preaching that morning as part of his candidacy for ordination and a call as an Associate Pastor here at Calvary. Please plan to join us support of our vision, of Santiago, and of the Leon de Juda Ministry.
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
Awana is in need of ADULT helpers for age 2 through 5th grade. Consider serving on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. from September 11 - May 14. Click Here to complete the volunteer registration form. If you have any questions, please contact Hannah Haney or Lora West.
The Kitchen Ministry is looking for volunteers on Wednesday nights to help with food prep, serving the meal, and clean up post meal. Food prep starts at 3:00 p.m. Please email Laura Studabaker if you are interested in helping in this Ministry Area.
