Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

NEWS

Remember to move back your clocks one hour on Saturday, November 2 for Daylight Savings.

We rejoice that Santiago Martinez was affirmed as our Associate Pastor of Hispanic Ministries with a vote of 99.45% approval.

Taco Bar will be served at the Family Dinner from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., prior to the evening activities on Wednesday. A gluten free or dairy free option is available upon advanced request. We ask everyone to sign up in advance (no later than 9:00 a.m. Wednesday) by noting on a Calvary Connection card, calling the Church Office, or by Clicking Here. This is always a great time of fellowship before the evening activities begin.

Come back tonight, the service will be  dedicated to the NextGen Ministries. The Youth will be leading us in worship, Kids Praise! Will lead a song they have been working on, there will be testimonies from some of the staff and students, and a time to pray for our NextGen Staff. Please join us for this special service tonight at 6 p.m.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month: Please consider contributing a love offering for our Pastors to express thanksgiving for their service to the Lord here at Calvary. To give, please mark a separate envelope with “Pastor Appreciation" and put it in the offering. Alternatively, you can give online through the church website or the church REALM database by selecting 'Other Projects' from the drop down menu and typing 'Pastor Appreciation' into the memo box. These donations are tax deductible and will be accepted through October 31.

Ladies, Sister time has started, and you can still get connected! There are a few groups, with and without childcare, that have openings. Please contact Jessica Mason to connect with a group.

Women, on March 1, 2025 the Women’s Disciple Making Ministry is planning an all-day intergenerational outreach event centered around skill building for women. If you are interested in leading a workshop in any area of spirituality, creativity, hospitality, cooking, baking, exercise, or fundamental life skills, we would like to speak with you! Contact Laura Reynhout with any questions.

Bless an Angel Tree child for Christmas 2024 by giving gifts on behalf of the incarcerated parent.  Sign up in your Life Group or call John Hoogenboom for details about buying gifts or donating money to purchase gifts.

The holiday season is fast approaching. If you’ve lost a loved one in the past few years, you may be dreading the coming months. GriefShare is offering a special session called “Surviving the Holidays”. You will receive solid, helpful advice on how to navigate through this difficult time. Join us on Monday, November 4, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., or Tuesday, November 12, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Bring a friend. Contact Pat Hansson with any questions. There is a $10 donation for materials.

Our students will be conducting a coin offering  November 3 in the morning services. This offering is divided between the Next Generation ministries for special purchases. We appreciate the coins that you generously donate.

This is the last Sunday to sign up for next weekend's events for Global Impact Weekend. Please register at the table in the lobby or Click Here.

Would you enjoy serving and helping in the kitchen? Would you enjoy dropping off a dessert or prepared side dish? We are looking for people who are willing to help in the kitchen or drop of a food item to the kitchen for funeral luncheons. Volunteer functions and time commitment would vary with each event. Please email Laura Studabaker or call to be added to the Funeral Luncheon list.
