Meet the Speaker

Dr. John H. Munro

Born and raised in Scotland, John graduated from the University of Edinburgh and practiced law in Scotland before God called him to full-time ministry. He and his wife, Gudny, moved to Texas, where he attended Dallas Theological Seminary.

For more than 40 years, John has dedicated his life to pastoral ministry, preaching and teaching the Word of God. He presently serves as Senior Pastor of Calvary Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also hosts a daily radio program, The Verdict, heard in more than 25 states, the United Kingdom, and available on all major podcast platforms alongside his weekly Avizandum podcast.

John and Gudny moved to Charlotte in February 2006 after serving at Calvary Bible Church, Kalamazoo, Michigan, for almost 10 years. Central to the lives of John and Gudny is the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20). They are passionate about bringing the glorious message of the grace of God to all the nations.

FREE luncheon from 12:00-12:30 in the Fellowship Center at Calvary, all are welcome including the kids. Following the lunch at 12:30, these Global Partners will share about their ministry; Tom & Ruth Chew, Ken & Rhonda Wiest, Skip & Keturah Lake, Nathan Clifton, Marsha Schulz, Marlene Schutter, Doug and Stephanie Gilcrease, Mike McGeath, and Jeff Awe. Then our guest speaker Steve & Arlene will share how they reached the lost for Christ in Indonesia.

The Children’s program, in the Chapel, will begin at 12:30 and end at 1:30.
