NEWS

The family dinner of hot dog bar will be served from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. prior to the evening activities. A gluten free option is always available. To ensure we have enough food, we ask everyone to sign up in advance (by 9:00 a.m. Wednesday), by noting on a Calvary Connection card, calling the Church Office, or by clicking here. This is always a great time of fellowship before the evening activities begin.

After salvation, baptism is an important next step for the believer in Christ. By obeying Christ’s command, you are publicly declaring your identity with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Our next baptism service will be Sunday morning, February 27. Please contact Angela Haner or call the church office if you are interested. There are two required meetings prior to Baptism Sunday so please sign up by Tuesday, February 1.

The Ministry Support Staff has a part-time, paid position (24-29 hours per week) in the Church Office. The candidate should have strong people skills, with a desire to show the love of Christ to those that come into the office. Proficiency in Word and Excel along with strong written and verbal communication skills are also required. You must be a Member of Calvary, or willing to pursue Membership for employment. If interested contact Heather Schutz at 372-1130.

Kids Praise! rehearsals resume tonight. Children should be checked in and dropped off at Room 206 at 5:55 p.m. Registration for new members closes today at 3:00 pm.

In preparation for tax season, donor contribution tax statements for 2021 will again be sent via e-mail . If you believe we do not have your most current e-mail address or you would prefer a hard copy of your tax statement, please contact Angela Haner or call the church office.

The next Men’s Breakfast will take place on Saturday, January 15 from 8:30 - 10 a.m. Share breakfast, a Man Challenge and fellowship. Bring your Dad, son, brother or friend! Click here to sign up.

Are you dealing with grief from the loss of a loved one? GriefShare is a 14 week program based on Biblical truth to help with the difficult journey. The next session begins Monday, January 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Reception Room A. The cost is $20 to cover cost of materials (scholarships are available). Please contact Donna Steinke for more information or just come join us.

You can still sign up for Go Groups, which are focused on Local evangelistic outreach, by attending the 6:00 p.m. evening service. Groups will meet the last 30 minutes of the Sunday evening service. We look forward to seeing how the Lord uses this time of praying together specifically by name for those in our circles of influence; sharing testimonies of opportunities the Lord provides; and practical training in how to engage people in gospel conversations.

Calvary Bible Church packed 1155 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child in 2021! Because of these boxes 1155 children who will have the opportunity to hear the Good News and Great Joy of the Gospel. Our shoeboxes are being delivered to Burundi and Rwanda this year. Please continue to pray for the safe delivery of our boxes and open hearts for the children receiving them. A shoebox can be packed from Calvary's Goal Page here.

YEAR END GIVING PROJECT

It is with joy that we have watched God bless Leon de Juda, Calvary’s outreach ministry to the South West Michigan Hispanic community. This fall it became apparent that there is no longer space in our building for this portion of our congregation to meet for worship on Sunday mornings. The Elders have approved the purchase of a modular building to be placed in the green space near the southeast kitchen entrance. The brothers and sisters of Leon de Juda are thrilled with the opportunity to have a space not only for Sunday mornings but for their multiple ministries throughout the week. The total cost of the modular unit is $200,000. The Elders have established this as our End of the Year Giving Project. Simply designate on your envelope or on electronic gifts: “End of the Year Project.”
