Go Groups to follow

For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”— and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

2 Peter 1:12-21

Does anyone just love being around 2, 3, 4 and 5 year olds?  The Children’s Ministry is looking for teachers for this age group that would commit to teach on Sunday mornings once or twice a month from September - May during the 10:30 a.m. service. We can give you as much help and training as you need and be there to assist along the way. You must be a member, or willing to become a member, of Calvary in order to be a teacher. Helpers are also needed in every age group if that is where God might be leading you. For more information  please contact Lora West.

The sales for school supplies have already begun! We need donations of NEW crayons, coloring books, pencils, colored pencils, erasers, pens and markers to be included in each of Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes that are sent to destinations around the world. Donations may be placed in the Samaritans Purse/Operation Christmas Child bin outside room 122A (Reception Room). Shoeboxes/labels are available in the library for those who pack their own shoebox.
