Informational Meeting for Members regarding proposed amendments to Calvary’s Constitution and Bylaws

Pulled Pork/Hot Dogs will be served at the Family Dinner from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. prior to the evening activities on Wednesday. A gluten free option is always available. To ensure we have enough food, we ask everyone to sign up in advance (no later than 9:00 a.m. Wednesday), by noting on a Calvary Connection card, calling the Church Office or by Clicking Here using the QR code. This is always a great time of fellowship before the evening activities begin.
New Screens: Balancing sufficient platform lighting and projection clarity on the center screen has been an ongoing challenge, especially when the Choir is serving. With an aging projector this has become increasingly difficult. Therefore the Elders have approved the installation of the two new side screens and projectors. This change results in a significant savings compared to updating the old projector. The installation of these new items is a work in progress. Soon the location, framing and full installation will be complete. While there is still some life in the center projector the possible future use of the center screen is being evaluated. There will be a Parent Dedication during the morning services on October 16. Parents will have the opportunity to commit to raising their child in a biblical manner and for God’s glory before the congregation. There will be two required dedication classes meeting on October 2 & 9 in Room 215A at 10:30 a.m. Please contact Angela Haner in the church office to sign up or click here to email.

Elder Announcement
Tonight is the informational meeting regarding the proposed amendment to the Constitution and Bylaws of Calvary Bible Church. The amendment has been recommended by the Elders so that our baptism requirements for Membership are consistent with our Statement of Faith. The proposed changes will be presented in writing and be fully explained; there will also be an opportunity to ask questions. Although everyone is invited, we are especially encouraging all Members to attend. A quorum of the church Membership will be required on October 23 when we vote on the proposed amendment in the evening service, and it will be important for everyone to be fully informed of the changes and the reasons for them before they vote. All Members, please plan to attend tonight and again on October 23.
Opportunities to Serve
Our Children’s classes still need help; open positions include 4 Teachers and 8 Helpers . Classes are closing due to being understaffed. If you are willing to serve and fill this need, please click here.
Nursery needs more workers! 17 for Sunday mornings, 3 for Sunday nights and 2 adults for every Wednesday night. Nurseries are closing due to being understaffed. Please prayerfully consider serving to fill this need.
The Grounds Committee is looking for volunteers that would like to help with the Fall Clean-up on Saturday, October 15. The outside work will begin at 10 a.m., right after the Men’s Breakfast that same morning. Please contact Paul Carlson to get on the list for this awesome opportunity for fellowship, while also serving the church.
The Deacons need a few individuals or families to assist with Communion preparations and clean up for the first Sunday of the month in the morning services and the third Sunday of the month in the evening service. Click here if you are interested in serving.

The Student Ministries Fall Retreat is October 28 - 30 at Camp Living Waters! Middle & High School students are encouraged to join us for a weekend filled with exciting outdoor activities, great speakers and amazing fellowship with friends. The cost will be $120 per student. Adults that want to chaperone need to sign up by emailing Jake West. Student registration is now available on the linktree.
Elder Focus
Dan Johnson and his wife, Beth, have four adult children and four grandchildren. Dan was saved at age 9 and began attending Calvary Bible Church in 1983. He is on staff as our Shepherding and Member Care Director, and has served as an usher, Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher, Deacon, Elder, and in the Jail Ministry.
