Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?” Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

NEWS
Chicken Bake will be served at the Family Dinner from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. prior to the evening activities on Wednesday. A gluten free option is always available. To ensure we have enough food, we ask everyone to sign up in advance (no later than 9:00 a.m. Wednesday), by noting on a Calvary Connection card, calling the Church Office or by Clicking Here using the QR code. This is always a great time of fellowship before the evening activities begin.
Last Sunday Night, a written copy of the proposed change to the Calvary Bible Constitution was distributed at the informational meeting. Copies are now available in the spinner racks in the lobby. If you would like to review the full constitution, a link is available on our website: calvarybible.org/what-we-believe (at the bottom of the page).
After salvation, Baptism is an important next step for the Believer in Christ. By obeying Christ’s command, you are publicly declaring your identity with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Our next Baptism service will be Sunday Evening, November 13. Please contact Angela Haner at angela.haner@calvarybible.org or call the church office if you are interested. There are two required meetings on October 23 and 30, so please sign up no later then Monday, October 17.
The next Men’s Breakfast will take place on Saturday, October 15 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Share a delicious breakfast, a challenge to lead spiritually and brotherly fellowship. Bring your dad, son, brother or friend! Click here to sign up.
October is Pastor Appreciation month. The Pastors will be honored after the evening service on October 30. Please consider contributing to a love offering for them to express our thanksgiving for their service to the Lord here at Calvary. Please mark a separate envelope with 'Pastor Appreciation" and put it in the offering. Alternatively, you can give online through the church website or the church REALM database. Select 'Other Projects' and insert 'Pastor Appreciation' into the memo box that appears. These donations will be tax deductible.
New Screens: Balancing sufficient platform lighting and projection clarity on the center screen has been an ongoing challenge, especially when the Choir is serving. With an aging projector this has become increasingly difficult. Therefore the Elders have approved the installation of the two new side screens and projectors. This change results in a significant savings compared to updating the old projector. The installation of these new items is a work in progress. Soon the location, framing and full installation will be complete. While there is still some life in the center projector the possible future use of the center screen is being evaluated. If you have questions or comments please contact Pastor Jeff Whitaker or Mark Duncan.
Today in the Word is available in the oak rack and entryway spindles.
