Men’s Disciple-Making Ministries

God intends for men to be strong leaders in our homes, workplaces, churches and community. The Men’s Ministry at Calvary digs deep into God’s Word in search of wisdom for equipping the saints, ministering to the needs of others and serving sacrificially. Through weekly Bible studies, monthly breakfasts, athletic events and yearly men’s retreats, men can learn how to live the Christian life as God intended—and have lots of fun in the process.

Weekly Bible Studies

There are two weekly Men’s Bible studies.

  • The Tuesday morning Men’s Bible study meets from 6:30–7:30 a.m. in Room 214. The group meets year-round

  • Our Wednesday evening study is meets on site September - April.

Men’s Retreat

September 19-21, 2025 at Bair Lake Bible Camp

The Men’s Disciple-Making Retreat will be a great time of fellowship, with lots of activities, and an inspirational message from Drew Gardner.

Speaker: Drew Gardner

Raised in Defiance, Ohio, Drew has been Bair Lake’s Executive Director since June 2018. Drew has a B.S. in Mathematics Education from Ohio Northern University and a J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law. Since then, he has served in the US Air Force as a JAG Attorney, Senior Pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Paulding, OH, and Athletic Administrator for Lakewood Park Christian School in Auburn, IN. Drew is married to his wife, Kelly, and they have 10 kids: Seth, Noah, Isaiah, Elijah, Grace, Zechariah, Mercy, Hope, Peace, and Micaiah. Drew enjoys spending time with family, reading, attending his kid’s sporting events, and serving the Church.

The Men’s Breakfast meetings have been a wonderful time of Biblical challenge, fellowship and accountability for our men! We meet on the third Saturday of the month (October—May) from 8:30-10:00.

All men are called to Biblically lead. Perhaps not in positions of authority in the church or workplace, but undeniably in the home and family. We hope you will plan to mark the dates on your calendar and join us as we grow! Please invite a family member, neighbor, or friend!
