At Calvary Bible Church, we are committed to “the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ” (Eph 4:12). This page provides a concise summary of the various Calvary-Facilitated Equipping Opportunities available to our church family.

Key Clarifications

This visual shows various opportunities that Calvary provides for Believers throughout various seasons of spiritual maturity and development as effective servant of Christ , NOT “prerequisites” for spiritual growth. It also is NOT showing the ministries that “measure” someone’s spiritual maturity. A person is not “graduated” into different boxes and Calvary is not “labeling” people; we are clarifying the types of opportunities that Calvary is intentionally providing for various Believers in different seasons of their personal preparation for faithful service.
This is a visual representation of the relationship between existing equipping ministries. Ministry Leader Training and Bible Teacher Training are being clarified and refined, but these elements have always been present at CBC. The Equipping opportunities designed for ALL Believers (everything other than some leadership development elements) are offered during Calvary’s key meeting times already (Sunday AM, Sunday PM, and Wednesday PM).
This pathway (and the ministries it represents) includes training for both men AND women (including the leadership development opportunities). For example, Ministry Leader Training, Bible Teacher Training, and the Global Ministries Launch program all include men and women.
This Pathway is focused on relating the formal opportunities provided corporately at Calvary, but the 1-on-1 aspect of a person’s development is vital. Individual relationships with mentors can provide key guidance for individuals to discern which corporate equipping opportunities they should take advantage of.
Every person is different, and various situations are unique. People’s progression into greater maturity and ministry responsibilities will look different, and timelines and involvement in specific ministries will vary greatly. Rarely will an individual take advantage of all the Calvary-facilitated opportunities, and rarely will an individual participate in all of them in order. For these reasons, this visual is of most value to new CBC attendees seeking direction and guidance on where to get involved.
